What can affect the quotation
- The wall's approximate length and height
- Photographs of the existing wall or the site
- Whether the wall retains higher ground on one side
- Whether the wall is shared with a neighbour
Materials and finish options
- Properly founded walls built to last
- Brickwork matched to the property
- Coping and damp-proof details that protect the wall
- Design input for retaining or taller walls
Exclusions and specialist requirements
Walls retaining significant ground, or walls above a modest height, need engineering design — available through our structural design services. Shared boundary walls can involve party wall procedures and neighbour agreement. Planning rules limit wall heights next to highways, and we build within them unless you have consent for more.
Frequently asked questions
- Why is my garden wall leaning?
- Usually failed or inadequate foundations, tree roots, or ground movement. A leaning wall rarely improves — rebuilding with proper foundations is normally the lasting answer.
- Can you rebuild using my existing bricks?
- Where the bricks are sound, we can clean and reuse them, blending in matching new bricks where needed.
- How high can I build a front garden wall?
- Next to a highway, walls over 1 metre usually need planning permission; elsewhere 2 metres is the normal limit. We build within the rules unless you have consent.
