What can affect the quotation
- The number of radiators and their approximate sizes
- Whether any are being moved or added
- The type of heating system — combi or system boiler, if known
- Whether pipework is accessible or under floors
Materials and finish options
- Standard, designer and column radiators from established brands
- Thermostatic valves for room-by-room control
- Pipework alterations neatly installed
- The system refilled, bled and balanced
Exclusions and specialist requirements
Adding radiators increases the demand on the boiler — for several new radiators we will advise whether the existing boiler has the capacity, and any boiler work itself is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Pipework routed under floors needs access, which can mean lifting flooring.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a radiator be moved to a different wall?
- Yes — the pipework is extended or rerouted to the new position. The work is straightforward where floors can be lifted or pipes run neatly at skirting level.
- Are designer radiators as effective as standard ones?
- Heat output matters more than style — every radiator has an output rating, and we size replacements to heat the room properly whatever style you choose.
- Do I need the heating drained to change a radiator?
- The system, or part of it, is drained for the work and then refilled, treated and bled — all part of the job.
