Paving and Patio Installation in London

A patio should drain, stay level and look good for years — and all three depend on the base beneath it. We install paving and patios across London, with properly compacted sub-bases, correct falls and the drainage that keeps water away from the house.

  • Photographs of the garden and its levels
  • Any drainage problems in the area

Materials and finish options

  • Natural stone — sandstone, limestone, slate and granite
  • Porcelain paving for a contemporary, low-maintenance finish
  • Concrete paving in a wide range of styles
  • Proper sub-bases, mortar beds and jointing

Exclusions and specialist requirements

Paving quality depends on ground preparation — soft or made-up ground needs deeper excavation and more sub-base, assessed at quotation. Drainage from new paving must be managed on your own land; where the area is large, our civil design service can design the surface water drainage. Porcelain paving requires specific installation methods we follow.

Frequently asked questions

Porcelain or natural stone — which should I choose?
Porcelain is consistent, stain-resistant and low maintenance; natural stone has character and variation. We will show you options and talk through the trade-offs.
Why has my existing patio sunk?
Almost always an inadequate sub-base. Our installations excavate to a proper depth and compact the sub-base in layers so the paving stays put.
Can you lay paving on a slope?
Yes — sloping gardens are levelled with retaining edges or steps, designed so the paving drains correctly.
